1. What are the general prerequisites for most PT/OT schools?

• PT
• Anatomy + Lab
• Physiology
• You can also do Anat/Phys I and II 
• 2 Biology courses + Labs
• 2 Chemistry courses + Labs
• 2 Physics courses + Labs
• Psychology
• Advanced Psychology (Ex. Abnormal Psych)
• Statistics
• English Composition
• OT
• 
  
• Research independently on prerequisites for each school you are applying to. Plan ahead!

2. When is the deadline to submit applications?

• You should try to submit as early as possible because many schools have rolling admissions and it takes a while for PTCAS to fully process your application.
• Deadlines vary by school but you can look up each one here: http://www.ptcas.org/ptcas/public/deadlines.aspx?listorder=name%20%20&navID=10737426787
• Some schools also have an early decision option and deadline for that is August 15.
• Applications opened this past year (2014) on July 2.
